Get involved
Three paths, one mission.
Every part of this work needs someone different. Find the one that sounds like you — then send one email.
-
High school volunteers
You sign up through your state chapter, complete our training, and then lead workshops in real classrooms. No prior experience needed — most volunteers have never taught before their first session.
- Training covers the curriculum, classroom management, and facilitation
- Each lesson you write for us counts as volunteer hours
- Chapters meet weekly; you teach as often as your schedule allows
-
Educators and hosts
Bring YCN into your classroom or after-school program. We provide the materials, the training, and the volunteers. If there's no chapter near you, the entire curriculum is free to download and teach yourself.
- Built for grades 3–5, roughly 35 minutes per lesson
- Nonpartisan by policy — no political parties in any lecture
- Homeschool co-ops and libraries are welcome, not an exception
-
Funders and partners
Your grant or sponsorship funds curriculum development and chapter expansion. We are pursuing 503(c)(3) status; support today goes directly into materials and getting new state chapters teaching.
- 12 active state chapters, expanding
- Open curriculum — everything we build is public and free
- We report reach honestly, including the numbers we can't verify
Not sure which one you are?
Email us anyway and say what you're hoping to do. We answer every message.
